Sapa Relax Hotel & Spa rooms: which ones see the mountains

Only two of the six room types at Sapa Relax Hotel & Spa face the Hoang Lien mountains — Executive Mountain View and the Suite — while the rest look over the town, and the Superior has no view at all. So the real decision is mountains or street, whether you want a bathtub (Premium City View and the Suite are the only rooms with one), and, if you are four, the two-room Family City View.

Superior

Listed on Agoda as Superior Double or Twin

The smallest and plainest room, and the only one the hotel itself describes as having a small window and no view. You still get the wooden floors and carved headboards used throughout the building, plus a walk-in shower. Booking sites give its size as 28 m².

Book it if you will spend the daylight hours trekking and only need a warm bed in the middle of town. Skip it if this is your one night in Sa Pa and you want to see the mountains from your room.

Deluxe City View

Listed on Agoda as Deluxe City View

A step up in daylight rather than space. The hotel says these rooms come with either a balcony or a large window, and both face the streets of central Sa Pa, so expect rooftops and neighbouring buildings outside rather than open valley. Which version you get is not stated when you book.

Book it if you want light and a central base, and any view is a bonus. Skip it if you picture mountains from the bed; Executive Mountain View is the room for that.

About 30 m² · Mountain view · Balcony

Executive Mountain View

Listed on Agoda as Executive Balcony

The room to pick if the view is the reason for the trip. Glass doors open onto a balcony facing the Hoang Lien range, with the town in the foreground, and there is a table for two by the window. Bathing is by shower only. The booking listing gives 28 m² and an odd bed line, so confirm double or twin.

Book it if you want to wake up facing the mountains without paying suite money. Skip it if a bathtub matters, or you are three — it is set up for two.

Premium City View

Listed on Agoda as Executive City View

Bigger than the rooms above, with a sofa, a wide balcony over the town and a corner bathtub. In the hotel’s photos the bath area sits within sight of the bed. Booking sites list it anywhere from 40 to 50 m², and note the name: on the booking page this town-view room is also called Executive.

Book it if a long bath after a cold day outdoors matters more to you than the view. Skip it if you are sharing with a friend and want a fully closed bathroom.

Suite Mountain View

Listed on Agoda as Suite View

The only room type with a separate sitting room, and the only one that combines a mountain-facing balcony with a bathtub. The hotel gives 70 m²; the booking listing says 50 m², so treat it as a generous one-bedroom rather than a precise figure.

Book it if you are celebrating, or the forecast is wet and you want somewhere to sit besides the bed. Skip it if you are a family; like every room except Family City View, it sleeps two.

Bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, a tall curtained window and an open doorway into a second room

About 70 m² · Two rooms · Sleeps 4

Family City View

Listed on Agoda as De Luxe Family

Two rooms that open into each other, with one double and two single beds between them and a balcony on the town side. Sizes run from 60 m² on the booking page to 70 m² on the hotel’s own page, and one hotel page mentions a single bed instead of two, so check the bed split if four people each need a bed.

Book it if you are two adults with two children, or four friends happy for two to share the double. Skip it if a mountain view is the priority; this room looks over the town.

Mountain side or town side: see what is free on your dates

What you pay depends on the night you choose and the room type, and the booking page shows the cancellation terms of every rate before you commit.

Three ways to land the right room at Sapa Relax

01

Read the view, ignore the label

On Agoda, “Executive” appears on both a mountain-view room and a town-view room. Go by the view and the size shown on each rate: the mountain side is Executive Balcony and Suite View, and everything else faces town.

02

Ask for a high floor on the mountain side

The hotel has eight floors and a lift, and higher rooms clear the roofs across the street. Write “high floor, mountain side, away from the lift” in the special-requests box — it is on request, so ask the hotel when you book.

03

Families: ask about connecting rooms

If the Family room is not enough, for example with older teenagers, ask for two rooms that connect. One source says the family rooms can be joined. It is on request — ask the hotel when you book, and keep their reply.

Honest note

The Superior has no view, only a small window. Walls are thin in places and some guests hear the lift, and a few bathrooms and fittings are showing their age. Sa Pa winters are cold, and one guest in January 2026 found no heater in the room, so from December to February ask whether your room has one before you pay.

Questions about rooms at Sapa Relax

Which Sapa Relax room has both a mountain view and a bathtub?

Only the Suite Mountain View. Executive Mountain View faces the mountains but has a shower, and Premium City View has a bathtub but looks over the town. If you want to soak and still see the Hoang Lien range from your balcony, the Suite is the one room type that gives you both, at about 70 m² by the hotel’s own figure.

Does the Deluxe City View room at Sapa Relax have a balcony or a window?

It can be either. The hotel describes Deluxe City View rooms as having a balcony or a large window, and the booking listing does not say which one you will get. If a balcony matters to you, add it to the special requests and ask the hotel when you book; it is on request, not something the rate guarantees.

Why does the Executive Balcony listing for Sapa Relax show unusual beds?

The booking listing reads “1 single bed or 2 semi-double beds”, which looks like a data-entry slip, while the hotel’s own page lists double or twin for this room. Before you pay, ask the hotel which bed set-up you will get, especially if you are a couple who want one large bed rather than two separate ones.

Can three adults share one room at Sapa Relax?

Not comfortably in most rooms. Every type except Family City View is set up for two, so a third person means an extra bed, which costs about VND 300,000 (sources range from VND 270,000 to 330,000, October 2026) — confirm when you book. Three adults who want proper beds are better off in the Family room.

How are the two rooms of the Sapa Relax Family room arranged?

The hotel describes two separate rooms that connect, and the booking listing gives one double bed and two single beds between them; the photos show a doorway from one bedroom into the next. How many bathrooms the room has is not published, so if that matters with teenagers, ask the hotel when you book.

What is in a Sapa Relax room besides the bed?

Listings agree on air conditioning, a minibar and fridge, a safe, a kettle, a flat-screen TV, a hair dryer, slippers and blackout curtains, and one Vietnamese listing mentions two free bottles of water a day with tea and coffee. Wi-Fi is free. Heating is mentioned on some listings but not confirmed by every guest, so ask about it in winter.

Is a mountain-view room at Sapa Relax worth it in the misty months?

Usually yes, but go in knowing the odds. Cloud often sits on the Hoang Lien range, especially from February to April and on winter mornings, while October and November tend to be clearest. Even on grey days the valley comes and goes through the mist, and the rooftop terrace gives you a second chance at the view.

Is the Superior room at Sapa Relax too dark to stay in?

It is darker than the other rooms, because the hotel describes its window as small with no view, but it has full lighting and the same furnishings as the larger rooms. For a short stay where you are out trekking all day, or for sleeping late after a night bus, many guests will not mind; for a slow stay with time in the room, pick Deluxe or above.
